Regarding Appearances in Works Using Generative AI Anan Sudachi declines to appear in projects that rely excessively on generative AI. However, we will only accept requests in cases where the creator's own creation is the main focus and generative AI is used as an "auxiliary tool," such as when generative AI is used to polish text or when generative AI is used to partially color an illustration. Regardless of genre, such as illustrations, text, or music, we will continue to decline to appear in works created entirely from start to finish using generative AI or in projects that rely excessively on generative AI. [Criteria for Judgment] 1. Scope of Approval (Cases in Which Requests Will Be Accepted) In the following cases, we will consider generative AI to be used as an "auxiliary tool" and will accept your request for an appearance. Text/Script Related - Creating a plot and then using a generative AI to create a portion of the script. - Creating a script based on a plot created by a generative AI. - Loading a completed script into a generative AI and only requesting corrections to the wording. Illustration Related - Creating the line art yourself, and then requesting a generative AI to color it. - Using a generative AI to create a character design, then adding and revising it to create a new illustration. - Learning your own style and having the generative AI generate a "character with your own style." - Using a generative AI to create a minor background or other element. - Loading a self-made illustration into a generative AI and animating it. 2. Prohibited Activities (Cases in Which Appearance Will Be Denied) In the following cases, we will not be able to determine that the work is the creator's own work and will therefore be denied appearance. Works created entirely with AI - Works in which the entire work, including illustrations, text, and music, is created using generative AI from start to finish. Cases where the plot, script, and illustrations are heavily reliant on AI. - The plot and script are original, but the illustrations are entirely generative. - The illustrations are original, but the plot and script are entirely generative. - Illustrations generated by learning the style of popular anime or a specific illustrator without permission. - The main background illustrations are created using generative AI. - Other people's illustrations are loaded into generative AI without permission and animated. 3. Additional Information/Philosophy Anan Sudachi does not reject generative AI itself. We believe that generative AI has great potential as a supplementary tool in creative activities, such as "saving time," "improving quality," and "assisting ideas." At the same time, we understand that there is also the possibility that it may imitate someone else's work or trample on someone else's efforts. For this reason, we have concluded that we should be cautious when using generative AI to create creative works from start to finish.
